Dr. Silva Hassert specializes in psychological, neuropsychological, and psycho-educational evaluations for children, teens, and young adults.

If you're new to my practice, welcome.  I'm a licensed psychologist living and working in Mill Valley, California. I believe in the power of psychological assessment as a targeted method for fostering change.  I opened Mind Rising in 2018 with the goal of using this method to support families. Since then, I've dedicated my work to helping youth and parents find answers to complex questions through collaboratively-based psychological, neuropsychological, and psycho-educational evaluations.

You may be wondering how your child best learns and thrives. What unique set of strengths do they possess, and how can these strengths be used to offset challenges? I bring years of specialized training in counseling psychology and neuropsychological assessment to my work with youth. My goal is to empower those who have difficulties with learning, regulating their emotions, managing friendships, or focusing by offering evidence based tools and resources. The written report that follows an assessment is a road map that you or child can with others who are supporting your family.
The evaluation helps parents to better understand their children, and youth to better understand themselves. Although specific assessments are administered, we'll spend time so I understand what's important and we create an assessment plan that meets your child's needs. The assessment isn't like a medical appointment; there are no scans, x-rays, or labs. Rather, paper-pencil and computerized tests are administered to measure skills linked to various brain functions. The assessment may be conducted remotely or at the office.
